翁厝村是埭头镇下辖的行政村，位于莆田市东部沿海的埭头半岛，处在兴化湾与平海湾的交汇处。村域陆地面积3.5平方千米，辖11个自然村、26个村民小组。村名取自翁姓村民聚居形成的自然村落。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1950年至1956年，村属23区的翁厝山。1956年下半年拆区并乡，归埭头区樟林乡的翁厝基点管辖。1957年设翁厝高级社。[1]
经济[edit]
村民的主要收入来自劳务输出，此外有浅海养殖和农业。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2021年3月，村得到莆田市第十五届文明村镇（社区）的称号。2024年1月，村获评2023年福建省卫生村。[1]
