1958年至1960年间，原珠墩片村一分为四，村址附近多无名山川，因而得名珠川。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1950年隶第六区，1952年改隶第十八区，1954年转第十九区，1955年划归北高区。1957年成为东峤乡的珠川村，次年划入笏石公社，成为其珠川大队。1961年东峤公社一度将其分设为四个大队，1971年又合为珠川大队。1984年改称东峤乡珠川村，1992年归莆田县东峤镇，2002年属秀屿区东峤镇。[1]
文化[edit]
2021年3月，珠川村被确定为「莆田市第十五届市级文明村镇（社区）」；2023年11月，被认定为「2023年度莆田市中级版绿盈乡村」。[1]
