白山村位于秀屿港畔，是东庄镇的一个行政村，全村只有白山一个自然村。村名取自境内的白山。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村名白山，因境内有一座白山而得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年，堤头、东沁、白山三村合编为沙林大队。1981年，沙林大队分开，白山单独设为白山大队。1984年，大队转为村，隶属东庄乡。1988年划入秀屿镇，1993年村委会迁址重建。2000年归东庄镇，2002年归秀屿区。[1]

荣誉[edit]

白山村于2022年12月获福建省爱国卫生运动委员会命名，成为「2022年福建省卫生村」。2021年12月，村庄被确定为「福建省第二批高级版绿盈乡村（乡镇）」。2020年11月，村庄被认定为「2020年度莆田市中级版绿盈乡村」。[1]
