苏田村是东庄镇的一个行政村，位于礼泉半岛中部。村名由苏厝与田厝两个自然村的名字各取一字合成。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1949年，苏田属五区（笏石区）苏田保与苏田乡。1952年改属二十区（下塘）东苏乡，1955年归忠门区东苏乡。1957年，它成为东庄乡下的苏田大队，1958年改隶忠门公社。1960年，苏厝、田厝、厝头三地分设大队。1965年，又归东庄公社苏田大队。[1]
1984年，大队转为村，属莆田县东庄乡苏田村。1987年，原苏田村委会一分为三，成为厝头、苏厝、苏田三个村委会。1988年，苏田村委会划入秀屿镇；2000年归莆田县东庄镇，2002年改属秀屿区东庄镇。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2021年3月，苏田村被确定为「莆田市第十五届市级文明村镇（社区）」。[1]
