石码村位于礼泉半岛，临近秀屿港前沿。村名的来历是此地原有一座形似石马的自然村落。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1949年，石码归五区（笏石区）管辖，设石码保和石码乡。1958年成为忠门公社石码大队，1965年改属东庄公社。1984年，大队改为村，归东庄乡的石码村管理。1988年并入秀屿镇，2000年改由东庄镇统辖，2002年划归秀屿区。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
玉湖宫位于石码村。该宫可上溯到宋代，清乾隆三十四年（1769年）曾经重修，其现存建筑则为民国时期修建。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2022年10月，石码村入选2022年淘宝村名单。同月，村庄被认定为「2022年度莆田市中级版绿盈乡村」。[1]
