芳店村位于东庄镇北端，与笏石镇相邻，全村辖四个自然村。村名中的“芳”与“方”相通，原指交通要道上店铺集中之地。[1]

地名由来[edit]

古时此处是交通要道，店铺多由姓方的人家开设，芳字与方字通用，因而村名为芳店。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年，芳店与东红一同编为东武大队。1975年，此处分立杜边大队，至1984年才更名杜边村；后于2004年换称芳店村。2011年，村委会迁址重建。[1]

荣誉[edit]

芳店村于2022年12月获福建省爱国卫生运动委员会命名，成为「2022年福建省卫生村」。[1]
