东庄镇是福建省莆田市秀屿区西部的镇，位于湄洲湾北岸的礼泉半岛上，镇政府驻营边社区。镇域以丘陵为主，海岸线长25千米。[3][4]境内的嵩山寺、青峰岩摩崖石刻等古迹保存至今，嵩山上的陈靖姑祖庙是镇内主要的旅游景点。[3][5]

历史沿革[edit]

1933年，此地设立东庄乡（民国二十二年）。1950年归莆田县第五区（笏石区）管辖。1961年改为东庄公社，忠门区公所对它实行管辖。[1]

1988年10月，东庄乡更名为秀屿镇，镇名取自境内的天然良港秀屿港。1996年起，该地改由「湄洲湾北岸经济开发区管委会」统筹，行政隶属仍是莆田县。2000年改名东庄镇，2002年2月改由秀屿区管辖。[1][2]

宋时此地称醴泉。据县志记载，半岛东部南山的山腰古时有泉水从岩缝中涌出，水质甘冽，大旱也不枯竭，附近各户的祭事都要到山上取水，故称礼泉。[2]

东庄之名相传与南宋陆秀夫的一位后人有关：这位后人从枫亭迁居苍山，即今东庄村，因苍山位于枫亭以东而得名。[14]

地理环境[edit]

东庄镇地处湄洲湾北岸的礼泉半岛，镇域以丘陵为主，秀港大道横穿全境。[2][4]镇域土地面积为43.77平方千米，海岸线长25千米，沿海围垦共17处，其中6处是千亩以上的围垦。[3]镇内的嵩山上建有嵩山寺和仙姑妈祖殿。[5][6]镇内共有河道15条，河道总长约40.35千米，镇域耕地约1885.03公顷。[3]

人口与经济[edit]

据2023年的统计，全镇总人口为91810人。同一时期，户籍人口为9.1万人，常住人口则约为4.5万人。[3]镇里不少村民在外经营医药、医疗行业，塘边村、堤头村和莆头村的博雅地名网页都提到这一点。[11][12][13]

名胜古迹[edit]

嵩山寺在石前村，北宋大观元年（1107年）即已建成，此后屡经修缮，清代又曾重建，是莆田市文物保护单位。[5]寺前尚存一块楷书刻写“南无阿弥陀佛”的佛号碑，上款刻有元至正九年（1349年）的字样。[5]

寺内的仙姑妈祖殿属「福建省文物保护单位」，2013年经福建省人民政府列入「第八批省级文物保护单位」。殿内存有刻着宋真宗咸平二年（999年）字样的陈靖姑古樟木神像。[6]

青峰岩摩崖石刻位于秀屿村。明代建造园亭时留下的摩崖石刻共12处，有诗刻、题字，还有一幅阴刻线画描绘吕洞宾醉酒的情景。2009年，该处被列为「福建省文物保护单位」。[7]

壶南祠在营边社区，2018年经福建省人民政府列为「第九批省级文物保护单位」。祠的建筑面积为714平方米，由门厅、拜亭和正殿组成。祠内存有古石浮雕、古匾额，以及明万历版本的古籍。[8]

潮音寺在石前村的石厝自然村，寺庙始建于明代，清光绪年间经过重建，1941年又做过修缮，是「莆田市第九批市级文物保护单位」。[9]

西温戏台在西温村的西温自然村，明末始建，入清后重新修建，1932年又经整修。戏台为石木结构，外形呈T字形，属「莆田市文物保护单位」。[10]

据2023年的统计，镇内列管省、市、区各级文物保护单位30处。[3]

文化[edit]

镇里的靖恭妈祖书院被列为省、市两级的「公民思想道德教育基地」。[3]2019年，东庄镇举办了首届陈靖姑文化节，并建设靖姑药植园。[15]

东庄镇获环境保护部授予的「2011年度国家级生态乡镇」称号，时间为2011年4月。2020年11月，东庄镇获评「第六届全国文明村镇」。东庄镇还列入了南京大学空间规划研究中心与阿里研究院共同推出的「2021年淘宝镇」名单，该名单发布于2021年10月。[1]

全镇有小学20所，初级中学、完全中学各1所，公立幼儿园2所，民办幼儿园3所；医疗方面，镇内设有东庄卫生院。[3]2023年，东庄卫生院新院区与秀屿区第二人民医院一并推进启用。[3]
