下郑村属福建省莆田市秀屿区笏石街道，是郑氏先人开基定居后所建的村落，村址地势较低。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年属北高区仙郑乡；1955年分属第17区北高南新乡与笏石区南新乡，1956年改属笏石区南新乡。[1]

1957年组成笏石乡南新高级社，1958年设笏石公社下郑大队，1984年改为笏石镇下郑村委会。[1]

荣誉称号[edit]

2024年11月，下郑村被认定为「2024年度福建省一村一品专业村」，产业为草竹编。[1]
