温东村属福建省莆田市秀屿区笏石街道，村名取温厝与东许两个自然村的名字各一字。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年划为第五区的东许乡。1952年换归笏石区，仍称东许乡；1954年至1955年改属第16区的温东乡。[1]

1957年组成笏石乡的温东高级社，1958年转为笏石公社的温东大队；1961年至1965年隶属大崙公社，1966年回到笏石公社，1984年成为笏石镇温东村委会。[1]

荣誉称号[edit]

福建省爱国卫生运动委员会在2022年12月命名温东村为「2022年福建省卫生村」。[1]

2023年11月，温东村被认定为「2023年度莆田市中级版绿盈乡村」。[1]
