顶社村属福建省莆田市秀屿区笏石街道。村名的来历，据博雅地名网，是村里有一处大社，且地势较高。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年属第5区顶社保，1950年为第5区顶社乡，1952年至1955年属笏石区顶社乡。[1]

1957年组成笏石乡顶社高级社，1958年设笏石公社顶社大队，1984年改为笏石镇顶社村委会。[1]

荣誉称号[edit]

福建省爱国卫生运动委员会在2022年12月命名顶社村为「2022年福建省卫生村」。[1]

2021年3月，顶社村被确定为「莆田市第十五届市级文明村镇（社区）」。[1]
