岱峰村紧挨北高集镇的东侧，离镇中心仅1公里，是镇内农业规模较大的村子，北高镇岱峰中学也设在村中。村名的来历是早年村中有一块风水石，村民纷纷前往，因而称为村民大石；后因此地山势较高，改名岱峰。[1][3]
历史沿革[edit]
宋、元两代此地属兴化府莆田县崇福里，明、清两代仍在崇福里之内，旧称大石村。顺治十八年（1661年）迁界时此地被划为界外弃地，康熙二十三年（1684年）恢复界内。民国前期归笏石区的岱石乡，1939年改隶五区，设北高乡岱峰保。新中国成立后设岱峰乡，之后分属多个区乡与高级社，1961年至1965年先后隶属不同公社，1966年设北高公社岱峰大队。1984年改为北高乡岱峰村，2002年改属荔城区北高镇。[2]
