冲沁村在北高镇东端，东侧与后海垦区（303工程）为邻，离镇中心20公里，下辖4个自然村。早先此地树木成林，凉气袭人，村子坐落在河流冲积的土地上，遂名冲沁。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年此地为六区沁安保；1950年成为十七区的沁安保乡；1955年归北高区冲营乡，次年属笏石区。1961年至1965年间设大队，归北高公社；1984年起叫北高乡冲沁村，2002年并入荔城区。[2]

文化[edit]

2021年3月，冲沁村被确定为「莆田市第十五届市级文明村镇（社区）」；2021年11月，省爱卫办把冲沁村列为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

上沁安自然村的沁安宫为莆田市文物保护单位，始建于明代，殿内保存明清妈祖神像。[4]
