前亭村位于北高镇东部，东面是后海垦区，西侧与埕前村相连，距镇中心8公里。据博雅地名网所载，村名源于宋代时在狮头山脚建的一座大寨：它原称观察亭，用来瞭望狮头山后海面上的倭寇与海匪活动，后来称为前亭。[1][3]
历史沿革[edit]
1949年隶属五区西亭保。新中国成立后此地并入冲营乡，之后改为冲营大队；1962年拆分，另设前亭大队，仍归北高公社。1984年称北高乡前亭村，2002年并入荔城区北高镇。[2]
文化[edit]
省爱卫办在2021年11月把前亭村列入「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
