渡岭村位于五侯山的东北侧，黄北埭交战公路从村北穿过，距镇中心6公里。村名的来历是境内有一处渡口，渡口之后有一道山岭，村民在岭脚聚居。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立后此地并入高厝乡；1953年归十七区的高福乡。1973年10月析出，设立渡岭大队；1984年起称北高乡渡岭村，2002年纳入荔城区北高镇。[2]
