汀江村处在北高镇东端，北面朝向兴化湾，东边与汀峰村相连，距镇中心8公里。村名的来源是古时村中一处码头，海上货物由此登岸，原名登江，后改称汀江。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

宋、元两代此地归崇福乡，明、清两代归兴福里，民国时期属笏石区北高乡的汀江保。新中国成立后设汀江乡；1958年归笏石公社；1961年至1965年，它是一个公社下属的汀江大队。1984年起称北高乡汀江村，2002年后并入荔城区北高镇。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

村域内的塔仔塔建于明万历十三年（1585年），是五层石塔，形制为楼阁式，内部中空，高约15米，过去是海上的航标。博雅地名网说它位于村中后埕口一带，百度百科则说在赤屿上。[4][5]
