东宋村是新度镇下辖的行政村，位于壶公山东麓，地处新度、笏石、灵川三地交界，距镇中心约9千米，包括东宋与西亭两个自然村。村中有闽中游击纵队成立旧址。[1][4][5]

地名[edit]

早先有宋姓人家迁居壶公山东侧，村名因此而来。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

早年属感德乡，明清归五区安乐里，民国时为黄石镇东亭保。新中国成立后归九区东亭乡，其后并入渠桥乡东亭高级社，又归黄石公社东亭大队。1950年代屡经调整，1961年设壶山公社东宋大队，1966年归渠桥公社，1971年改隶渠桥乡。此后归新度镇，2002年起属荔城区。[1][3]

名胜古迹[edit]

闽中游击纵队成立旧址位于西亭自然村。1935年5月，莆田中心县委并入闽中特委，随后在新度西亭重建莆田县委。1936年7月，因游击战争的需要，县委迁往莆永边区，西亭就此成为莆田党组织的活动据点之一。[5]

1947年4月10日，闽中游击纵队（又称戴云纵队）宣告成立。[6]
