下横山村是新度镇下辖的行政村，地处壶公山麓、木兰溪畔，距镇中心约3.5千米，辖横东、横西两个自然村。村中有五府桥，为莆田市第九批市级文物保护单位。[1][4][5]

地名[edit]

原名双横。境内有一山横亘，村民建居在山麓较低处，遂改称下横山。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年归九区双横乡，1957年并入渠桥乡的双横高级社，1958年后归黄石公社维新大队，1962年又随渠桥公社设双横大队，1965年改称渠桥乡双横大队。1984年底改设下横山村，隶属渠桥乡。此后归新度镇，2002年起属荔城区。[1][3]

名胜古迹[edit]

五府桥位于下横山村的南至自然村，别名「五官店桥」，是一座四孔石梁桥。桥为宋元祐年间所建，清代雍正元年（1723年）与乾隆十六年（1751年）两次修缮。该桥被列为「莆田市第九批市级文物保护单位」，百度百科载其公布于2021年。[5][4]

村中有一棵古荔枝，树龄938年。据记载，1076年状元徐铎自家乡延寿带来此树苗种植。[4]

文化[edit]

2023年11月，下横山村获「2023年度莆田市中级版绿盈乡村」认定；2025年6月，获「2025年莆田市一村一品专业村」认定，主导产业为荔枝。[1]
