锦墩村是新度镇下辖的行政村，俗称外墩，地处壶公山麓、木兰溪下游，距镇中心约1.5千米。村中有祥云殿，为莆田市市级文物保护单位。[1][5]

地名[edit]

早年此地为陈氏聚居，村民沿土墩周边建屋，取衣锦还乡之意，村名由此而来。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

早年归永嘉乡，后属维新里，民国时划入黄石镇的锦墩保。新中国成立后先后隶属九区锦墩乡与渠桥乡锦墩高级社，1961年随渠桥公社设立，1984年为渠桥乡锦墩村。1992年改属新度镇，2002年归荔城区。[1][3]

文化[edit]

村里传承着三百余年的「打砂花」民俗，该技艺2011年列为福建省省级非物质文化遗产。[1][4]

名胜古迹[edit]

祥云殿位于村内，唐光化年间（898年）已有记载。殿宇为二进廊院式，明成化八年重建，现存明代石狮三对。[5][4]
