地名由来[edit]
明初，徐氏自莆田延寿迁入，建厝居住，村名因此称徐厝。明中期，谢氏自浙江迁来定居，因建在村中部，名为道中，俗称谢厝。[3]
历史沿革[edit]
旧时此地属感德乡，后并入三区连江里；清代为龙角境新安社的范围。1943年成为东华乡的徐厝保；新中国成立初，隶属莆田市区的徐厝乡。[4]
1958年，此地曾隶属莆田县东甲公社；公社化之后，它成为黄石公社的徐厝大队。1968年起改称革命领导小组，1984年才正式设徐厝村，2002年以后归荔城区黄石镇。[4]
