天马村位于福建省莆田市荔城区黄石镇的东南部。村域东面与北高镇相邻，西边紧接沙堤村，北面是惠下村，南面与秀屿区的珠坑村接壤。村内有沙堤朱氏大宗祠。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

因村民建居在天马山的山脚下，村名由此而来。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

宋元时期此地属感德乡，明清时期属三区连江里。民国时属黄石乡的沙堤保，新中国成立后归黄石区沙堤乡，1950年代中期又一度属北高区。1963年，天马自沙堤分出，设为黄石公社天马大队。1984年12月，此地以天马村的名义设立村委会。[4]

名胜古迹[edit]

沙堤朱氏大宗祠位于天马村朱厝自然村，始建于宋乾道年间（1165年至1173年），明嘉靖年间重建，清代至近代历经修缮。宗祠为单进廊院式布局，正厅面阔三间，檐下雀替等构件雕刻精美。祠内存有唐代墓碑与古墓砖、宋代龙泉古井等遗物。[5][6]
