定庄村位于福建省莆田市荔城区黄石镇的东南侧，东邻沙堤村，南接笏石镇的西徐村，北靠凤山村，西接瑶台村。村内有清代建成的定庄堡遗址。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

清顺治十八年（1661年）以前，此地称郑庄。这段时间倭寇多次侵扰，郑庄村民伤亡不少。清康熙年间，吴英在此选址建堡定居，村名因而改为定庄，寓意安定团结。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

此地先是莆田县感德乡景德里的一部分，明清时属四区景德里，民国则归三区。1957年并入水南乡，1961年夏间正式设立定庄大队，归黄石公社管辖。[4]

1984年改为黄石镇定庄村委会，2002年以后归荔城区黄石镇。[4]

名胜古迹[edit]

定庄堡遗址位于定庄自然村，建于清康熙年间，今存小寨，俗称“虎橱”。遗存中有康熙御书的“作万人敌”石匾、无字九龙碑刻，以及从台湾运回的“七星石”，是重要的涉台文物。[5]
