井后村位于福建省莆田市荔城区黄石镇的中部，村落处在平原与丘陵的交界处，村内包括井埔、后洙两个自然村。村名取自这两个自然村名的首字。[1][2][4]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代此地归感德乡连江里管辖，元朝沿袭未变；明朝改属三区连江里，民国时属黄石镇。[3]

1990年更名为井后村，2002年以后作为荔城区黄石镇井后村，设立井后村委会。[3]

名胜古迹[edit]

琳井朱氏大宗祠位于井埔自然村，初名“古田令朱公祠”，又称“古田祠”，为纪念唐末入莆始祖朱玑而建。祠始建于北宋，明正统十四年重建，现存朱熹撰书的联柱、唐末始祖夫人墓碑和明代石狮，为莆田市文物保护单位。[6]

太湖祠位于井埔自然村，明万历二十年（1592年），“三一教”学者朱逢时（法号慧虚）为传播该教而建。其中轴线上依次为前殿、正殿与后殿。2009年被认定为福建省文物保护单位。[5]

荔城显济庙位于井后村，始建于北宋，1994年重建，主祀朱默，配祀朱熹。庙内保存有明末朱继祚题写的“威灵护庇”匾，属莆田市级文物保护单位。[5]
