澄渚社区位于西天尾镇，前身为澄渚村，2018年12月改设社区居民委员会。据博雅地名网所载，唐代已有「澄渚」之称；境内有九牧祖祠、梯云斋等文化古迹。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

地名来历：早年境内有一条大河，水质清澈，河中有一小块陆地，村民便沿河岸聚居成村，取名「澄渚」。[1]

据博雅地名网所载，唐代已有「澄渚」之称。宋元属武化乡，明清隶二区仁德里；民国时期的归属为三区下的澄龙乡和仁德乡登黄保。新中国成立后改由四区的澄渚乡管辖。1957年组建西天尾澄渚高级社，次年并入涵江公社为澄渚大队，1961年改属西天尾公社。1984年底降为乡下的澄渚村，1986年12月升为镇下的澄渚村，2002年起属荔城区。2018年12月19日，澄渚村改设为澄渚社区居民委员会。[2]

2023年11月，社区被认定为「2023年度莆田市中级版绿盈乡村」。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

境内有九牧祖祠与梯云斋，并有朱熹题字的「耕云」「钓月」石刻，均属旅游与文化景点。[1]
