七步村位于拱辰街道东部，东与东阳村接壤，西侧与濠浦社区相接，南面紧邻长丰村，北面是北大村。村名取「相距咫尺」之意，因村子临海而得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋元时属武化乡，明清属仁德里，民国时分属延寿乡以及双兴、朱丰两保。新中国成立后先归一区朱丰乡，之后经几次调整，1965年起归城郊公社。[1]

1984年大队改为村，2002年起属拱辰街道。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年10月和2022年10月，村庄先后入选「2021年淘宝村」和「2022年淘宝村」名单。2024年1月，村庄被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」；同年6月，又入选「福建省第四批高级版绿盈乡村」名单。[1]
