濠浦社区在拱辰街道东侧，东邻长丰村，西接南郊社区。村民早年依溪畔建居，为引水修筑护城河，「浦」字取河流入注之意，地名由此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
社区一带的革命活动可以上溯到1926年，四亭村人张伯庭当时还在涵江中学做工友，此后经党组织的引导走上革命道路。1927年回到家乡后，他与党员干部合力在四亭、郊下一带组织农民，成立农会。[2]
中共莆田县委旧址与中共莆田县工委旧址都在四亭自然村。1940年，县委机关由四亭迁往莆永交界的宁里村；1948年7月，县工委在四亭村显兴堂宣布成立。[2][3]
荣誉[edit]
2021年3月，社区被确定为「莆田市第十五届市级文明村镇（社区）」；同年11月，被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生社区」。[1]
