古山村是福建省莆田市荔城区镇海街道下辖的行政村，位于街道东南部，距街道办事处约3公里，在莆田东门外约2公里处。[1]

村名原为「吾山」：玉湖陈氏四世祖陈俊卿建造相府时，依山而筑，挖沟引水，取土筑阜，因而取名；后因兴化方言谐音，改称古山。[1]

地理环境[edit]

原木兰溪自西向东穿村而过。村东与陡门村隔溪相望，东南与埭里社区毗邻；西侧隔溪与浦边村相对，北侧隔溪与荔博村相对。[1]

村内有道路长约一公里，在阔口处接上莆秀公路。早年村子靠木兰溪的海堤与外界相通。[1]

人口[edit]

据博雅地名网，全村300多户、1600人，土地面积0.6平方千米，下辖古山自然村，共14个村民小组。[1]

经济[edit]

村中耕地约375亩，以萝卜、胡萝卜、小白菜等蔬菜为主，龙眼种植面积较大，所产鲜食龙眼品种皮薄肉脆。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋、元、明、清时期，此地属兴化军府莆田县感德乡。民国时期，此地先属莆田县城厢镇埭泉保，后属一区阔口乡。[1]

1991年4月从原大队析出，独立建村；2002年撤县并区，为荔城区镇海街道古山村，设古山村委会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

陈文龙纪念馆被莆田市人民政府列为「第二批社会主义爱国教育基地」。村内的尚书祖庙也是各地陈氏后人寻根认祖、进香的去处，常有侨胞与台湾同胞前来。[2]
