梅峰社区位于莆田市荔城区镇海街道北部，距街道办事处约2公里，地处胜利北街一带。[1]

社区境内有山，早年种有梅树，梅花香气四溢，因而得名梅峰。[1]

人口[edit]

社区辖有1066户，人口4145人，面积约0.39平方千米，下辖3个居民小区、7个居民小组。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代，此地隶属崇业乡；明、清时期分属一区右厢与东厢。1929年改属第一区城西乡，1941年归城厢镇梅峰保。[1]

此后曾改属梅峰街、城北街，「文化大革命」期间称胜利街，1980年复称梅峰街。2002年5月区域划分时，改称荔城区镇海街道梅峰社区。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

兴化府城隍庙位于庙前路，明洪武三年（1370）迁建于此。[1][2]

真武坛位于胜利路，建于明嘉靖年间以前，清代与近代有过重修。[1]

文化[edit]

2021年3月，社区被确定为「莆田市第十五届市级文明村镇（社区）」；同年11月，被命名为「2021年福建省卫生社区」。[1]
