镇海街道是福建省莆田市荔城区下辖的一个街道，位于莆田市区东部，在壶公山北麓、木兰溪北岸一带。[1][3][5]

街道办事处驻镇海社区，辖区面积约7.5平方千米。[1][2]

辖区内保存有古谯楼、大宗伯第、兴化府城隍庙等文物古迹。[6][7][8]

历史沿革[edit]

镇海之名取自明、清时兴化府城东门「镇海门」所在的一带。[4]

中华人民共和国成立后，辖区曾属莆田县一区、城厢镇与城厢公社，1984年6月起归城厢区管辖。[2]

2002年2月，莆田县撤销，荔城区设立；同年5月开始筹建镇海街道，8月正式成立。[1][2]

街道成立时，由原荔城街道的部分居委会与原城南乡的村合并组成。[5]

地理环境[edit]

街道位于莆田市区东部，东面连接新度镇，南面与凤凰山街道交界，西面隔街与龙桥街道相对，北面紧邻拱辰街道。[1]

据百度百科，2011年末镇海街道辖区总人口为52125人。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

古谯楼位于文献路中段，属文献社区。它初建于北宋太平兴国八年（983），最初作为子城的城门和门楼；绍兴六年（1136）毁于火灾，此后由知军刘登重建。现为福建省重点文物保护单位。[4][6]

大宗伯第在庙前路，俗称铁树里，位于长寿社区一带。它是明代礼部尚书陈经邦的府第，明万历二十年（1592）建成，按明制一品官府第规格建造，占地1724平方米，现为福建省文物保护单位。[4][7]

兴化府城隍庙位于梅园路。明洪武三年（1370），知府盖天麟将其迁建于此。2001年，它被列为福建省第五批省级文物保护单位，主祀南宋抗元名臣陈瓒。[8]

黄滔祠位于英龙社区的东里巷，为纪念晚唐福建文学家黄滔而建，元大德八年（1304）始建，明代遭倭乱后重建。2009年，它被列为福建省文物保护单位。[9][10][14]

玉湖祠位于阔口社区的木兰溪畔，始建于南宋末年，原为宰相陈俊卿的故宅。1993年，它被列为莆田市市级文物保护单位。[11]

元妙观三清殿位于英龙社区梅园路北侧，创建于唐贞观二年（628），宋大中祥符八年（1015）重修，为第四批全国重点文物保护单位。[12][13][14]

文化[edit]

2021年2月，镇海街道列入「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。[4]
