车口村位于福建省莆田市涵江区大洋乡中部，东与瑶山村及大洋粮站相邻，西接瑞云村，北靠瑞云山风景区，南与可山林场接壤。[1]
村名取自旧时公路修至村中水井处为止、车辆在此集散的地点。村中有闽中支队兵工厂旧址，村域辖入瑞云山森林公园。[1][2][3]
地名由来[edit]
旧时公路修到村中一口水井处即告终止，此处成为车辆集散之地，村因此得名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
中华人民共和国成立前，村地属广业里车口保；成立后隶属瑞云乡。1956年并入瑞云高级社，1961年改属新县公社，设车口大队；1965年改称大洋公社车口大队，1984年12月定名为大洋乡车口村。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
闽中支队兵工厂旧址在外坑自然村，旧址为山腰的贵峰岩石洞，地势险要，洞顶可望见大洋全境。1949年2月闽中支队司令部成立后，在此设立兵工厂，制造武器。同年7月，国民党军“围剿”大洋时，贵峰岩被烧毁，解放后村民自发集资重建。[3]
村中范氏建有纪念堂供奉范仲淹，博雅地名网记其祖先于唐代迁入。村中的观音亭是大洋乡元宵节民间活动的中心之一。[1][2]
文化[edit]
2021年11月，车口村获福建省爱卫办命名，称号为2021年福建省卫生村。[1]
2022年12月，车口村被确定为2022年度福建省「一村一品」专业村（水稻）。[1]
车口村的文明村镇称号为莆田市第十五届市级文明村镇社区，于2021年3月确定。[1]
2025年5月，车口村列入福建省美丽乡村示范村的创建名单。[1]
