杏山村位于福建省莆田市涵江区北部边陲，地处灯炉寨瀑布群的山麓。北面的山岭与福清市、永泰县相接，南邻大洋村。[1][2]

村名取自旧时山间大片种植的杏树。村中西湾古厅现辟为大洋民俗馆，并保留着清代古民居八座。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

旧时山间曾大片种植杏树，村因此得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放前村子属兴化县广业里。新中国成立后归13区杏山乡，1954年改属新县区杏山乡；1956年成立杏山高级社，1958年编入新县人民公社，称杏山生产大队；1965年转属大洋公社，1984年12月起称莆田县大洋乡杏山村。[1]

文化[edit]

村中现留清代古民居八座，西湾古厅现辟为大洋民俗馆，展陈当地的山乡文物。[2]

2021年3月，杏山村获评莆田市第十五届市级文明村镇（社区）。2021年11月，杏山村获福建省爱卫办命名为2021年福建省卫生村，同年12月又被评为2021年度福建省森林村庄。[1]

2022年10月，杏山村经福建省农业农村厅认定，列入第二批乡村治理示范名录。2023年11月，杏山村被认定为2023年度莆田市中级版「绿盈乡村」。2024年2月，杏山村入列第二批福建省乡村振兴示范村镇的创建对象。[1]
