村名的来历与一块仙岗石有关。据传神仙曾在岗石上留下脚印，石上的痕迹至今尚存。[2]
村中的樟江石墙寨是古时抗击倭寇的防御山寨。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
村中的壮极殿是清代末期的古庙，门前有小桥。民国初期建造的林氏宗祠也已修缮。[2]
