上茅村隶属福建省莆田市涵江区新县镇，属镇内的山顶片，系革命老区基点村。村址在涵江区东北部，东侧与白云山麓的笔架山相邻，西侧连着夹漈草堂一带，南面与洋林村毗邻。[1][2]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内有明代建筑诏惠庙，另有清香殿。村中一棵古榕树树龄逾600年，胸径达300厘米，荫蔽面积约2亩。[2][3]

人口民族[edit]

博雅地名网载全村686人、196户、辖8个自然村，所载数字未注明年份；百度百科则称户籍人口约690至835人。两者并不一致，二者均未注明年份。[2][3]

村中以枇杷为主要果品，产品销往外地。村有监楼水库，可供休闲游览。[2]
