黄洋村隶属涵江区庄边镇。村子原名洋尾村，因“洋尾”一名各地多有，为避免重名，又因与邻村接壤，改称黄洋村。[1]

2021年11月，村子被福建省爱卫办命名为福建省卫生村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立后，村地归14区管辖下的一个乡；1962年设庄边公社洋尾大队；1984年改称黄洋村，1992年归庄边镇，2002年由莆田县划入涵江区庄边镇管辖。[2]
