凤际村隶属涵江区庄边镇。村名原作「凤漈」，取凤山与漈水各一字而成，后为书写方便简化为凤际。[1]

村内宁里自然村曾是闽中革命的据点，有中共闽中特委旧址、宁里红军学校旧址等。村子2021年被评为福建省卫生村，2022年10月获「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」认定。[1][3][4]

历史沿革[edit]

此地宋元时为兴化县辖地，明代改隶莆田县广业里。新中国成立后，村地先归游洋区满长乡，之后划入庄边吉凤乡；1965年为庄边公社的凤际大队。1968年设革命领导小组，1984年起设村委会，2002年划入涵江区。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

中共闽中特委旧址在宁里自然村，原是民居，由门房、大厅和几栋两层楼房相连，为土木结构，占地约760平方米。1936年夏，常太一带的游击根据地遭到围剿，闽中特委转到莆田北部与永泰交界的宁里一带，此后在这里建成稳固的游击根据地。旧址于2011年被莆田市委党史研究室列为党史教育基地。[1][3]

宁里红军学校旧址也在宁里自然村。1938年至1940年间，闽中党组织在此办过训练班，受训者既有莆田、仙游的干部，也有福清、长乐、永泰和泉州的人员。现存建筑为20世纪80年代重建的单层砖瓦房，占地约72平方米。[1][4]
