庄边镇位于福建省莆田市涵江区西北部的山区，与仙游县、永泰县交界，辖22个行政村。[1][4]

镇名来历据传与旧时山地、田地分属不同宗族、田庄坐地收租有关。[2]境内的凤际、山溪、尚书桥、岐山等村保存有闽中革命时期的旧址，其中凤际村的中共闽中特委旧址是镇内的红色旅游景点。[5][6][7][10][11]

历史沿革[edit]

庄边一带宋元时属兴化县，明代裁兴化县后归莆田县，隶属广业里。[2]

民国时期此地属莆田县第四区。1957年底，莆田县在此设立庄边乡；1958年秋改为公社，1984年秋又恢复为乡，1992年9月起改称镇，仍归莆田县管辖。直到2002年5月，庄边镇才转属涵江区。[1][4]

1930年代，闽中地下党组织和游击队以境内的山村为据点开展活动，凤际、山溪、尚书桥、岐山等地的旧址多与此相关。[5][7][10][11]

地理环境[edit]

庄边镇在涵江区西北部，西与仙游县游洋镇相接，北与永泰县交界，东北与大洋乡、东与新县镇相连，南与白沙镇和城厢区常太镇接壤。[1][2]

镇域以山地为主，秋芦溪的上游在镇域内。[1][2][3]

名胜古迹[edit]

凤际村宁里自然村有中共闽中特委旧址和宁里红军学校旧址。特委旧址原为民居，1936年以后闽中特委在此开辟游击根据地，并设立闽中工委机关；红军学校旧址则是1938年到1940年间办过训练班的地方，轮训周边县区的干部。[5][6]

尚书桥村坑头里小组的赤石宫，就是闽中抗日义勇军集训旧址。宫庙始建于明初，清代重建过。1937年9月前后，闽中抗日义勇军在此驻训约一个月，同年十月离开赤石宫，下山改编。百度百科称该旧址于2018年升格为莆田市级文保单位，博雅地名网则记1984年曾由莆田县公布为县级文保单位。[7][8]

岐山村顶隔自然村的开福寺联络站旧址，为1931年以来闽中游击队的秘密联络站，寺内今存石牌、古钟等文物，为莆田市文物保护单位。[10]

走墘村的走墘胡氏宗祠为清代建筑，一进廊院式，正厅留有清代翰林题写的匾额。2020年12月，它被列入「涵江区第九批文物保护单位」。[9]

文化[edit]

庄边镇的荣誉，据博雅地名网所载，始于2014年：当年环境保护部把「2012年—2013年度国家级生态乡镇」的称号授予该镇。此后，省级爱卫部门于2020年12月确定其为「福建省卫生乡镇」，2021年2月镇名进入「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单，2022年10月又被省农业农村部门认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[2]
