田厝村宫边自然村北侧有清道光年间重建的田厝新兴宫，为莆田市第九批市级文物保护单位。村落于2020年入选福建省第三批省级传统村落。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村名得自两件事：先人在此开田，继而在田边盖屋安家。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村落始建于宋代。1949年归第十四区公所管辖，1952年改归第十三区公所，1965年8月设白沙公社田厝大队，1984年改大队为村，属白沙乡；1988年属白沙镇，2002年起属涵江区白沙镇。[2]

文化[edit]

田厝村先后获得以下荣誉：2020年2月，入选「福建省第三批省级传统村落」名单；2021年11月，被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」；2023年11月，被认定为「2023年度莆田市中级版“绿盈乡村”」。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

田厝新兴宫在宫边自然村北侧。始建时间不详，现有建筑系清道光甲申年（1824）重建，近代经过修缮。宫庙为一进廊院式，前殿与正殿各为三间，悬山顶，抬梁式土木结构，保留了清末的建筑风格。为莆田市第九批市级文物保护单位。[3]
