东泉村原名东渡，民国时与林泉村合并后改用现名。村中有东泉圆通寺军事会议会址，另有东度列宁小学旧址与黄梦喜家四烈士墓，都与早期革命活动相关。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村名原为东渡。民国时东渡与林泉两村并为一村，各取一字，改称东泉。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋元时期属兴化县，明朝属莆田县广业里，民国时为白沙乡东泉保。新中国成立后，村落经历了生产大队等阶段。1984年设立村委会，1988年改属白沙镇东泉村委会，2002年划入涵江区白沙镇。[2]

文化[edit]

东泉村先后获得以下荣誉：2021年6月，被认定为「2021年度莆田市中级版“绿盈乡村”」；2021年12月，被命名为「2021年度福建省森林村庄」；2024年1月，被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

东泉圆通寺军事会议会址在溪南自然村。1930年3月，莆田县委组织了北高、黄石等地的武装行动与江口的缴械行动，取得胜利，扩大了党的政治影响。同年4月，陈天章、陈兆芳等人决定把江口、沿海的游击队与广业农民自卫队会合于东泉，并在圆通寺召开军事会议。会议选定澳柄、东度与夹漈一带为根基地，计划动员群众、建立农会，再向广业山区推进。同年8月中旬，黄琬、陈天章、王纪修等人又在圆通寺集会，宣告组建中国工农红军第23军。[3]

东度列宁小学旧址在圳顶自然村。1928年底，王于洁受福建省委指派接任中共莆田县委书记，县委遂把工作重心移向农村，斗争方式转入地下，并把合法农会改造成秘密的农民同盟会。陈天章与王纪修分别在江口与东度开办列宁小学（挂名私塾），既是地下交通站，也是培养青少年骨干的基地。[3]

黄梦喜家四烈士墓在东度自然村。黄梦喜（1888年至1944年）1929年参加革命，任东泉地下联络站负责人，1944年被捕，在福清监狱就义。其长子黄国榆、次子黄国标也先后投身革命，次子于1931年参加革命。[3]
