水办村隶属福建省莆田市涵江区萩芦镇，位于镇域北部。[1]

先祖为避免争水，在水源处刻石为标，以石刻定水量，当地俗称「水办」，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清代嘉庆时期，先民自河南迁来定居。新中国成立后，村地先后归十区、十一区、十二区的樟白乡以及新县区樟白乡管辖。1958年为新县公社樟水大队；1961年改属樟石公社水办大队，1965年并入萩芦公社水办大队。1984年12月设萩芦乡水办村委会，1993年属萩芦镇，2002年起属涵江区。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年1月，水办村获得「2023年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
