历史沿革[edit]
明清时期属三区永丰里，宋元时期归唐安乡永丰里。中华人民共和国成立前为洞潭保，成立后隶洞潭乡。1958年划入涵江公社塘头大队，1961年设潭尾大队，1965年又属涵江公社，1984年改设潭尾村委会，1993年起属国欢镇。[1][2]
2024年1月，潭尾村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[2]
