国欢镇位于福建省莆田市涵江区中心，东面与江口镇相接，西邻白塘镇，北侧是梧塘镇，南侧通向福厦路一带。1993年1月涵江区撤乡建镇扩办，国欢镇人民政府随之成立，镇名取自驻地的国欢寺。镇内有国欢寺、黄璞故居、黄冈祠、洞庭宫等文物古迹。[1][2][3]
历史沿革[edit]
今镇域在宋元时期隶属莆田县唐安乡，明清时期改归莆田县第二区，民国时仍在莆田县境内。1958年10月并入涵江公社，1993年1月撤乡建镇，国欢镇人民政府设立。[1][2][3]
1993年建镇后，镇里先后获得若干荣誉：2014年9月获授「2012年—2013年度国家级生态乡镇」称号；2021年3月确定为「莆田市第十五届市级文明村镇（社区）」；2021年10月与2022年10月两次列入「淘宝镇」名单；2024年1月命名为「2023年福建省卫生乡镇」。[2]
地理环境[edit]
百度百科载全镇面积14.12平方千米，博雅地名网则作约15.9平方公里，两者并不一致。境内有涵永公路、福厦公路、新涵大街与北内环路交汇。[1][2]
名胜古迹[edit]
国欢寺位于塘西村，前身为唐代的延福院，中和元年（881年）由两位僧人兄弟献出旧宅改建。后梁开平元年（907年），闽王王审知之孙王昶出生，寺因此赐名国欢。寺内主殿为明万历四十年（1612年）重建，屋顶为重檐歇山式，现存山门、拜亭与大雄宝殿。1993年列为莆田市文物保护单位。国欢镇人民政府的职责清单也将国欢寺列为辖区旅游资源。[4][8]
黄璞故居在黄霞村黄巷，是唐代名儒黄璞的旧宅，此后改作祠堂。现存建筑保留明代的构架，清代经过重修，格局为五间三进。1987年列为区级文物保护单位，1993年由莆田市公布为文物保护单位。[5]
黄冈祠的全称是莆阳黄祖祠，位于黄霞村，建于唐代，供奉入莆始祖黄岸，为莆田市市级文物保护单位。祠门楼是四柱三楼式花岗岩建筑，祠内另有唐代古井与历代碑碣十余块。[6]
洞庭宫位于洞庭村，明代已建，清乾隆六年（1741年）重新营建，同治十三年（1874年）修葺。2004年列为莆田市市级文物保护单位。[7]
黄霞村内另有清代的云腾故居、悟原堂，均为区级文物保护单位。[9]
