后宫村是福建省莆田市涵江区白塘镇下辖的行政村，位于镇东部，地处白塘湖下游，靠海，以农业为主。村由后宫、后学、东亭三个自然村组成，共10个村民小组。[1]
地名由来[edit]
早年先祖迁居此地，建起渡南宫，村民又散居于宫后，村名由此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
宋元时期，后宫分属崇业乡孝义里与唐安延寿里；明清两代分属三区孝义里与二区延寿里。新中国成立前，后宫与东亭分属两个保，归涵江区（二区）管辖。1961年，后宫成为涵江区集奎公社的后宫大队；1965年改隶涵江公社，大队名不变。1984年10月改称涵江乡后宫村，1993年起归白塘镇。[1]
文化[edit]
2020年11月，后宫村被授予「第六届全国文明村镇」称号。2021年11月，村庄被命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。2022年10月，村庄经福建省农业农村厅认定，列为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。2023年11月，村庄被认定为「2023年度莆田市中级版“绿盈乡村”」。[1]
