柯塘村是福建省莆田市涵江区白塘镇下辖的行政村，位于白塘镇西北角，是纯农业地区。村民经济以种植业为主，作物有蔬菜、幼豆、西红柿等。全村分为8个生产小组，党员80名。[1]

地名由来[edit]

相传吴公屠龙，龙被剖腹后肝肠流落此地，村名“柯塘”即莆田方言中“肝肠”的谐音。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋元时期，柯塘属武化乡仁德里；明清两代改属二区仁德里。新中国成立前属涵江区，1956年划归梧塘区。1959年时，柯塘成为涵江公社的柯塘大队。1984年10月，改设涵江乡柯塘村委会，1993年起为白塘镇柯塘村。[1]

文化[edit]

2022年10月，村庄经福建省农业农村厅认定，列为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。2021年3月，村庄被确定为「莆田市第十五届市级文明村镇（社区）」，同年11月被命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
