显应村是福建省莆田市涵江区白塘镇下辖的行政村，辖八个自然村，即魏塘、铺前、下宇、下洋、郭庄、后亭、庄厝和西港，共14个村民小组。向莆铁路与涵港大道穿过村域。村名取自村中的显应宫。[1]

地名由来[edit]

当地有一座大宫，由多个村庄共同合建，宫中神明显灵，村民便称之为“显应宫”，村名由宫而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

相传当地一位僧人回乡省亲时携白银二百两，筹建显应庙，庙中供奉杨公太师（杨五郎）等神明，因神明显灵，四方群众称之为显应庙。[1]

新中国成立后，显应先后隶属莆田县第二区、第六区、集奎乡和涵江人民公社。1984年10月大队改为村，属涵江乡显应村；1993年1月起属涵江区白塘镇。[1]

文化[edit]

2024年9月，显应村被认定为「2024年莆田市“一村一品”专业村」，主导产业为花椰菜。2021年11月，村庄获「2021年福建省卫生村」的命名。[1]
