白塘镇是福建省莆田市涵江区下辖的镇，位于涵江区南部，木兰溪下游，处在莆田北洋平原上。镇名取自境内的白塘湖，全镇辖16个行政村。1993年涵江区撤乡建镇扩办，白塘镇人民政府随之设立。镇内有集奎功德祠、白塘李氏大宗祠、洋尾古坊群等祠堂、古桥和牌坊类文物。[1][2]

白塘之名因境内的旅游胜地白塘湖而来，镇政府于1993年设立时沿用了这一名称。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

辖境在宋元时隶属莆田县崇业乡孝义里。新中国成立后，先后属莆田县第二区、第六区、集奎乡和涵江人民公社。撤公社改设涵江乡的事发生在1984年10月，白塘随之归涵江乡人民政府管辖。1993年，涵江区撤乡建镇扩办，白塘镇人民政府成立，镇仍由涵江区管辖。[4]

白塘镇位于莆田北洋平原，木兰溪下游，全镇面积18.22平方千米。[2]

白塘湖是境内最主要的水体，横跨上梧、洋尾、镇前三村。据百度百科，白塘湖为木兰溪支流所汇，主湖面积385亩，经治理后扩至约580亩，并被称为福建省最大的天然淡水湖；湖畔的“白塘秋月”是莆田二十四景之一。[5]

名胜古迹[edit]

镇内文物以祠堂、古桥、宫庙为主。集奎功德祠位于集奎村古街内，建于明万历年间，清光绪七年（1881）经重修，为莆田市第九批市级文物保护单位。双福郭氏祠堂在双福村上郭自然村，清乾隆四十一年（1776）重修；东墩明德祠在东墩村掘头自然村，清中期始建。[3]

洋尾村内有白塘李氏大宗祠，明代始建，清乾隆二十八年（1763）重建；州牧祠建于清乾隆年间，2020年12月公布为涵江区第九批文物保护单位；李制干祠又称李富祠，原为南宋抗金人物李富的故居，后改作祠堂，1993年列为莆田市文物保护单位。[3][6]

洋尾古坊群位于李角自然村，由三座古牌坊组成，其中科第坊为明成化年间建，清代重建。[3]

集奎万寿桥在集奎村，南宋初由李富募捐建成，为八墩九孔的平梁石桥，全长47.35米，跨于白塘湖汊上，为莆田市第九批市级文物保护单位。集奎新桥跨延寿溪入海口，南宋建炎年间建，明万历四十三年（1615）重建，全长58米。[3]

白塘镇在2020年至2022年间获得多项荣誉。白塘镇于2020年12月获福建省爱卫办授予「福建省卫生乡镇」称号；2021年2月，白塘镇列入「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单；2021年和2022年，白塘镇两次入选「淘宝镇」名单。[1]
