哆中村位于涵江区三江口镇东北部，东面临兴化湾，村庄距镇政府仅1公里，至涵江区政府约3公里。村名早年取自当地的一片沙石滩「哆头」，后因人口增多而分为数处，此处位于中部，故称哆中。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

宋元两代，这里处于唐安乡望江里的范围。明清时划入二区望江里。民国时称望江乡下的哆中保，中华人民共和国成立后另设哆中乡，1957年改称哆中高级社。[2]

1961年划为涵江区哆头公社的哆中大队，1965年又归涵江公社。1984年10月设哆中村委会，隶属涵江乡；1993年起属三江口镇。[2]

地理环境[edit]

村域陆地面积约2.3平方千米，另有海滩涂约3600亩，耕地846亩。东边的石筑海堤南北绵延约3.5公里。[2]

人口民族[edit]

博雅地名网记，全村1186户、5495人，划分为26个村民小组，下辖14个自然村，未注明年份。[2]

经济[edit]

村民的主要收入来自滩涂养殖，村里出产的「哆头蛏」是当地的特色产品。改革开放后，村中陆续兴办企业，有制衣、鞋服等外向型企业。百度百科记2019年成立哆中村股份经济合作社。[1][2]

文化[edit]

2021年12月，村庄入选「2021年度福建省一村一品示范村（蛏）」。2024年1月，村庄获「2023年福建省卫生村」称号。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

哆中李氏大宗祠为一进庭院式建筑，始建于明正德年间（1506—1521年），清代重修，为莆田市第九批市级文物保护单位。[3]
