前明村位于涵江区三江口镇东南部，距镇所在地约1公里，距涵江城区约3公里。村名各取两处地名中的一字而成。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

中华人民共和国成立后，这一带先后分设了几个村落。1997年6月，村落自原有村落中拆分出来，设立前明村，此后一直属三江口镇。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村域面积约1.8平方千米，村内设12个村民小组，下辖5个自然村。博雅地名网记为393户、1708多人，未注明年份。[1]

经济[edit]

村民的主要经济来源是种植海蛏、养育蛏苗以及加工土笋冻。[1]

文化[edit]

2022年12月，村庄获「2022年福建省卫生村」称号。2024年1月，村庄获「2023年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
