双霞村位于涵江区三江口镇东南部哆头地界，濒临兴化湾，距镇政府约1公里，东接哆中村，西连高美村。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

宋元时期，这里属唐安乡望江里；明清时期改属二期望江里，民国时期为当地的一个保。中华人民共和国成立后设乡，1984年10月改为村委会，隶属涵江乡；1993年起属三江口镇。[2]

1997年6月，村落自原有村落中拆分出来，成立双霞村委会。[1][2]

地理环境[edit]

村庄濒临兴化湾，海岸线长约3公里，浅海滩涂约千亩。村域内辖文下霞、田边2个自然村，以及洋顶新村。[1][2]

人口民族[edit]

百度百科记户籍人口2218人，未注明年份；博雅地名网则记456户，并设9个村民小组。[1][2]

村中另有在外华侨，以及台湾、香港、澳门同胞及其眷属约500多人，近年出国谋生的人数逐年增加。[2]

经济[edit]

村域临海的浅海滩涂出产海蛏、牡蛎、鲟、花蛤、跳鱼与章鱼等海产品。近年村里也在淡水养殖鳗鱼和对虾。[2]

文化[edit]

2021年3月，村庄被确定为「莆田市第十五届市级文明村镇（社区）」。2022年12月，村庄获「2022年福建省卫生村」称号。[2]
