塔山村位于涵江区三江口镇东南部，村名取自村内前山与塔桥两处聚居地各一字。村域北面接莆田市高新技术开发区，交通以水泥路面的主干道为骨干。[1]

1997年6月，村落自原有村落中拆分出来，此后至今属三江口镇塔山村。[1]
