东清村位于涵江区三江口镇中北部，村民最初在东清寺周围定居，聚落由此形成。村庄临近福厦公路，距镇政府约3公里，离涵江区政府约2公里。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
宋元时期，这里属唐安乡望江里；明清时期改属二区望江里，民国时期称东清保。[1]
1958年这里为涵江公社的一个大队，1984年10月设村委会，隶属涵江乡。1997年6月，村落自原有村落中拆分，称东清村委会，此后一直属三江口镇。[1]
