鳌山村在涵江区三江口镇东部，东面临近兴化湾，村域内有雁阵山与雁阵宫两处名胜。村名旧称「雁阵村」，现名则出自雁阵山南麓一处形如鳌鱼的地方，村民在那里聚居成村。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

宋元时期，这里属唐安乡望江里；明清时期改属二区望江里，民国时期称鳌山保。[1]

中华人民共和国成立后设鳌山乡，归集奎区管辖。1958年改称涵江公社的鳌山大队，随后1961年归涵江区望江公社。1984年10月设鳌山村委会，隶属涵江乡；1993年起属三江口镇。[1]

地理环境[edit]

鳌山村位于镇东部，西与东清村接壤，南邻鲸山村，北连后郭村，距镇政府约4公里。全村面积约3.6平方千米。福厦高速公路在村中设有出入口。[1][2]

雁阵山位于村域之内，海拔约80米，东面濒海，是涵江区沿海的高地，山顶的登瀛阁为南宋状元黄公度读书之处。[3][4]

人口民族[edit]

博雅地名网记，全村有1386户、5576人；另设24个村民小组，并辖8个自然村，未注明年份。[1]

经济[edit]

村民以种植蔬菜和滩涂养殖为主业，主要海产品有蛏苗、成品蛏和牡蛎。村中的华林蔬菜基地由林水英创办。近年第三产业有所发展，据博雅地名网，全村近1000人出国劳务或经商。[1][2]

文化[edit]

村党总支在2003年获「先进基层党组织」称号，全村曾先后获评第七至第九届莆田市「文明村」。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

雁阵宫位于岐头自然村，建于雁阵山顶，又名岩浔宫，供奉三殿真君与宋代的陈应功。该宫1993年列为莆田市文物保护单位，2018年被公布为福建省第九批省级文物保护单位。[5][3]

叶良运革命活动地（瑶珠堂）在沃里自然村，清光绪十一年修葺，1944年初曾作为游击纵队的地下活动据点。[3]
